Recently, I dropped off a letter in support of Epping’s application for grant money to upgrade our water treatment plant and extend our water line. While at the sewage treatment facility, I found out that Epping is on pace to make $1 million this year processing septic waste. That money will help to fund some needed system upgrades. Our wells tested negative for PFAS chemicals so we won’t incur extra costs to meet the newest state standards for those substances. The Town’s Capital Improvements Plan draft details a dozen major projects over the next six years. Much needs to be done, but a solid plan is now emerging.
